An employee who performs at least 50 hours of voluntary service in any one school year related to student activities occurring outside their regular work day shall be entitled to a one day paid leave of absence in the school year. This is non-cumulative from one school year to the next.
The date for such leave shall be agreed upon between the principal and the employee and this leave shall normally be at a time when classes are not in session. Exceptions require approval of the school administrator and a substitute will not be provided. When entering your 50 hours day into Atrieve, you must enter it into Atrieve and use code: EXSU – Extra Curricular and do not request a sub as you do not get a sub for a curricular day.
